Escape rooms for science teachers and teacher-prep programs
Lab Lockdown turns general science review into a 3D escape room. Your students or teacher candidates learn by using the content: they read clues, run the numbers, and open real in-world locks.

Give candidates preparing for the Praxis General Science (5436) test an active way to review all four content categories, with a "why this works" explanation after every solve.
High school & college science
Use single rooms as a review day or a unit closer: chemistry, genetics, astronomy, geology, circuits, or ecology.
No install
Runs in a modern desktop browser. Hints are opt-in and stepped, so no one gets stuck for good.
Free pilot for schools
We're inviting a small group of teacher-prep programs and science classrooms to pilot Lab Lockdown for free. Pilot schools get:
- Full access to all six rooms for their class or cohort during the pilot
- A teacher class code, so students join without creating email accounts
- Setup help and a direct line to the developers
In return, we ask for a short feedback survey and, if you're happy with it, permission to quote you.
What students practice
| Room | Topics |
|---|---|
| Chemistry Lab (free demo) | Atomic structure, periodic trends, stoichiometry, dilution, circuits, gas laws, lab safety |
| Greenhouse | Cells, meiosis, Mendelian and population genetics, photosynthesis, osmosis |
| Observatory | Solar system, seasons, Kepler's laws, light, moon phases, mass vs. weight |
| Seismology Station | Rock cycle, minerals, seismic waves, radiometric dating, plate boundaries |
| Physics Workshop | Charge, circuits, power, energy conservation, waves |
| Field Station | Ecology, water quality, pH, populations, experimental design |
Student privacy
We design for minimal data. Students join with a class code and a nickname, and no student email is required. We don't sell data or show ads.
